1.         Introduction

We are African Institute for Mentoring (AIM) Pty Ltd (Registration number 2002/001109/07). We provide an educational service for children on our website. In terms of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (1998) we are required to provide direct notice to the parent of our child users about how and why we collect children’s personal information.

2.         Definitions 

class teacher is a person who provides education for learners

child or children are users of the website under the age of 13 years old.

parent means the biological parent of the child or the legal guardian.

website means any website, mobile or desktop application that offers our services.

3.         Purpose for collection

We collect your child’s personal information for account verification purposes so that when they log on to our service we know who is logging on. We also use this logon information in order to restore use of our service if the user forgets their password.

We also collect your personal information for in order to send you the direct notice, notifications about changes to our terms and privacy policy and for service of legal documents should that ever be necessary.

The personal information that we collect from your child is used only for validating logins, restoring service if a password is forgotten and for interacting with the online class teacher. It will not be used for any other purpose, disclosed, or combined with any other information that is collected from your child.

4.         Parental rights

You are allowed review, delete or refuse the collection of personal information from your child. In order to do this, you can contact for assistance.

5.         Deemed to have consented

If you do not respond to this direct notice then we will assume that you are allowing us to use your child’s personal information for the purpose stated in this notice. More detail about our online privacy policies can be found in our privacy policy.
